WHAT WE DO...

Statistically speaking, the impact of a fatherless home has an adverse long-term effect upon his family as well as the greater community, therefore if we could reach the father and assist him in regaining the role of the spiritual leader of the family we could reach his entire household for the Lord... Let’s consider some of these statistics.

  • 85-90% of youths in prison come from fatherless homes

  • 71% of high school dropouts come from fatherless homes

  • 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes

  • 60% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes

  • Nearly 25 million children live without their biological father

Together we are better and together we can be the change we want to see! Our approach to curbing the statistics surrounding the father in the home is where we work with the fathers in prison and help them retake the position as the spiritual leader of the home and regain the respect of their family even though they are incarcerated, further, we work with the juveniles in order to equip them as Biblical rooted fathers and spiritual leaders of the future... Although we are newly established, let me provide some testimony about our prison ministry involvement since February 2023 and the “wins” the Lord blessed our efforts with.

  • To date, we had the honor of providing 17 individuals with study Bibles of whom 6 of them are pursuing a degree in Theology through one of the service providers appointed at the correctional center.

  • Between the three correctional centers we serve we have distributed 250 standard Bibles representing the 3 official languages i.e. Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa. Included in the aforesaid were 5 Shona Bibles as well, for the foreigners from Zimbabwe in the correctional facilities.

  • Our focus is not only on the offenders within the correctional centers, as we also had the privilege to supply 7 officials with Bibles as well.

  • One of the most important public declarations of any Christian is that of baptism, to date, between the three correctional centers we had 41 baptisms.

  • Keeping rooted and focused on your faith is a very challenging task within correctional facilities and we are excited that 109 individuals have recommitted to their faith to date.

  • The Lord has done some miraculous healings both inside of prison and those family members outside...

  • During the week, we conduct spiritually rooted courses, bible study programs, and pastoral counseling sessions. In terms of the courses and programs the following;

  • Anger Management – 7 individuals completed the eight-week course.

  • Family Firm Foundations (being the spiritual leader) – 6 individuals completed the six-week course.

  • Reconciliation & Restitution – 5 individuals completed the six-week course.

  • Philips in Training, your Journey to Freedom – 45 individuals completed the program of 26 modules.

Although the above is currently our primary focus, we trust the Lord to start expanding upon our current footprint early in the new year. As a ministry, our main objective is to exalt Jesus Christ as the crucified and risen Son of God, to maintain public worship services, to administer the Biblical ordinances, to strengthen Christians in faith through teachings of the Bible and Christian fellowship, to seek the salvation of lost souls, and to help proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world with the Holy Bible as the basis and foundation of our faith and practice. Our secondary objectives are to provide Ministerial, Counselling, Spiritual Care, and Chaplaincy Services to all Communities and Governmental spheres i.e. Local Assemblies, Correctional Services, Police Services, Hospitals & Healthcare Centers, Fire & Rescue Services, Emergency Response & Medical Services, etc.

The following were two specific community outreach projects we identified, one for the festive season and the other for the beginning of the new year.

  • Identify 5 families and provide them with food-specific vouchers in order to have a festive meal with their families. With the funding available we were able to bless one family with a food parcel.

  • Identify 5 families with children and provide either the school stationery starter pack or at least a pair of shoes and a shirt. With additional sponsorship received, we were able to supply one child with a starter pack, shoes, school shirts, and pants.

Within our socio-economic spheres, we all want to see change, and as stated above, we are better together! Let’s be the change we want to see, in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 3 we are told “Remember those in prison as if you were in prison with them” and in Matthew chapter 25 verse 40 “... whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” All of this is only possible through the partnerships and financial investments of individuals like yourselves.

How you could partner with us.

  1. In order to make an impact we need funding, with the funding we are able to travel between the correctional centers, procure Bible, and support families as mentioned above. Please refer to the contact tab for the various methods you can utilize to donate and subsequently partner with us for the continuation of the Lord’s work. Please consider becoming a monthly contribution partner to fund travel costs to and from prison, Bible distribution, projects, and ministry advancement.

  2. Prayer is one of the most imperative partnerships. Please pray for the work of the Lord and pray for those incarcerated as well as their families. Pray for our youth that they will not submit to peer pressures but seek to do the right thing even if they are the only ones doing it.

  3. Bibles, our objective is to place a Bible in the hands of each individual the Lord allows to cross our paths. Whenever funding for Bibles is discussed it is noted that Bibles may be seen as expensive (especially study Bibles) but it remain the best gift you could give, but the life changed could not be measured in monetary equivalents. Unused or extra Bibles could be couriered to our office, please just remove any personal information (highlighted and underlined section is not a problem) that may have been included on the first pages of the Bible, this is for safety and security reasons.
